What will you learn in this lecture?

In the previous video, we learned the introduction to element identification of this Selenium webdriver elements identification course. In this video, we’ll have the prerequisites and resources.

Prerequisites and Resources

What are the prerequisites for this section?

Well, obviously you’re going to need a Visual Studio IDE. We’re going to now start digging into actual code utilizing Selenium webdriver and so therefore, you need an IDE to follow along with all the exercises.

You’re obviously going to need to know C# because if you don’t,you’re not going to be able to comfortably write a code and identify elements.

Of course, you need to learn Selenium Webdriver because that’s exactly what we’re going to be using.

You’re going to need a Chrome driver which we’re going to utilize for the duration of this course to identify elements and interact with them and if you have chrome driver you of course, need a Chrome browser so that you can work with all of the elements and the browser some helpful resources for you.

We have a practice website where we’re going to be doing a bunch of the exercises. That’s at the URL right there. Save that URL because you’re going to need to go to that site to practice element identification.

I’ve provided a second website to practice web automation this one is going to be the main one from this point forward. It’s new but I’m going to be making more and more additions to it so that you can have tons of exercises on that site to practice your element identification but not only element identification test automation in general.

And if you need extra resources about everything that we’re going to cover there are fantastic tutorials on HTML and XPath at W3 schools

Next Tutorial

In the next tutorial, we will cover the critical updates to the course.

What will you learn in this course?

Are you struggling with working with HTML using Selenium WebDriver? Do you know how to easily identify an element using Selenium WebDrriver? Do you know how to manipulate that web element? Do you know how to perform a drag n’ drop on an element? If not, then these are just a few of the questions that will be answered in this course.

This course is a complete guide on working with web elements in Selenium WebDriver! Once you are finished with this course, you will know how to work with any web elements, any time, on any web application.

“Relevant content that I will be able to apply to my automation tests *immediately*, a VERY effective presentation approach (evolving the same example and comparing/contrasting), and an excellent teacher / presenter. Thank you so much for your time and sharing your knowledge Nikolay!.”
